Hurley Freedom Fighters Surf Tour - Round 1

Not even 6 inches of SNOW could stop the first round of the UK Hurley Freedom Fighters Tour kicking off at Cayton Bay last week.

Fueled by plenty of Rockstar Energy Drink, the 30+ competitors hit the freezing water at 11am to battle it out in 3 categories; Junior, Longboard & Open. South African Gary Robertson took the win in the Open class with 2 high scoring waves. Conditons were difficult and all surfers must be congratulated for the level of riding on display.

Afterwards, prizes were awarded in Cayton Bay Surf Shop (www.caytonbaysurfshop.co.uk) and the highly coveted Hurley Pinstripe Blazer and Trilby combo was awarded to Gary which he wore with pride throughout the rest of the evenings festivities. Gary will be ripping it up the east coast in his brand new Hurley wetsuit too.
